About the event
Join me for a couple of hours on the trails to explore the fascinating world of mushrooms. We’ll take our time wandering, stopping to look at what we find and learning some beginner-friendly identification skills along the way.
Whether you’re completely new to mushrooms or already have a growing curiosity about fungi, this walk is a chance to slow down, look a little closer, and learn together.
We’ll explore the diversity of fungi we encounter, talk about identification features and ecology, and hopefully find some interesting surprises along the way!
No previous mushroom knowledge is needed — just come curious. 🍄 Although we may encounter edible species, this is not our goal, and we will learn about all types of fungi and their benefit to our ecosystem.
Meet at the entrance of Humber River Recreational Trail off Stephen Drive and Cloverhill Rd. Street parking available on Cloverhill Rd, River Valley…
